Thumbs up Ed Asner questions HIV/AIDS

Nicole Swiren's documentary, Denialism, The Death of AIDS, can now be downloaded in it's entirety, and an accompanying DVD features a full interview with acclaimed actor Ed Asner.

    "I hope this documentary
will help spur people to think,
    to research more, to question,
that is always a great result
    of anything we do,
    if we cause people
    to question."

I'm having trouble playing back the 50-cent download. Winamp won't play the video at all (though it does play the audio), and VLC Media Player, QuickTime, and RealPlayer only play the first two minutes or so before crapping out.

If anyone else encounters this problem and finds a solution, please share with the class...

Think I've found the problem. The download is terminating early for some reason. My first attempt was 53MB, 2nd was 33MB, and I'm making a 3rd attempt now.

    The total filesize is 620MB.

    I've emailed Nicole about it.

Yes, but the problem was that the download wasn't fully completing for some reason.

I think I've figured out how to get around it, though.

When you go to the download page and enter the password, after the download starts there's a link on the page that says, "If your download does not begin in a moment, try again." Leave this page open while downloading, and if you don't get the full 620MB, click that link. (Seems to be working for me.)

    That seemed to work.

But is it only supposed to be 19 minutes?

I believe it is a short film, Gos. The ad for the LA screening LA also lists it as 19 minutes long.

Hmmm...It seems to start in the middle or something. It starts in the middle of a sentence (Celia Farber telling a story,) for which there is no context, and no follow-up later in the film.

Which is why I ask. If this is the complete film, then the editing leaves something to be desired.
